Classic and feminine, this 1950's Amita Japanese bracelet is in near perfect condition. The bracelet is 7 3/4" (as worn), and has a pressure clasp with safety chain. Each fan is decorated with birds, flowers or a temple scene. The setting is polished gold-tone, unmarked, most likely a gold wash finish.
Damascene is an ancient art. The background is black oxidized steel, inlaid with tiny threads of 14K gold and silver. Amita bracelets from post-WWII Japan usually had paper labels and hang tags when new.
Condition of this bracelet is excellent, with only minor signs of wear. One of the nicest Damascene bracelets I have seen in years!
