The former owner purchased these earrings on Murano, the island famous for glass blowing, on a vacation in Venice, Italy in the 1980's. They were misplaced and recently found in the original bag!
The earrings are hand made amber brown glass, with a band of aventurine and applied pink and blue flowers. (Aventurine is a glass with copper flakes, sometimes called "gold-stone".) The glass is 3/4" in diameter and about 3/8"at the thickest part. The earrings are 1 1/2" including the ear wires. The wires and gold colored beads are not marked. They have not tarnished in over 30 years, and I am sure they are gold plated or gold filled.
