Absolutely beautiful fan earrings by Toshikane of Japan. They have a shamisen (Japanese string instrument) surrounded by white chrysanthemums on a pale turquoise blue background. There are highlights of gold, black and red. These porcelain earrings are set on a silver mount with screw-back attachments. They date from the 1940's, early 50's.
Each earring is about 1" tall and x 1 1/2" wide. They are marked stamped JAPAN on the back of each silver mounting. The Toshikane fan emblem is visible under the screw-back fastener.
Excellent vintage condition. The screw-backs work well, and there are no chips or scratches to the porcelain.
