Spectacular vintage pin for the harvest season - the sterling charm holder has a grape vine design and three dangling charms.
The original holder is a charm or watch holder made by Towle sterling circa 1910. It is marked w.th the A.F. Towle STERLING mark on the back of the pin. The original piece was intended to display charms or a locket, and the charms present have been added at some time.
There is a three dimensional bunch of grapes and two amber colored enameled leaves. The grapes are a close match to the pin design. They are marked 800 for the old European standard of silver.
The entire piece is 1 1/8" across and 1 3/8" long. If you are interested only in the older pin or the charms, feel free to make an offer. (The pin is the rarest part.) It looks wonderful as it is!
