Pink Victorian Mother of Pearl Bowl with Enameled Flowers
This choice pink mother of pearl bowl has been in a private collection for well over 50 years. The bowl, or vase, dates from the late 1800's. It is pink cased glass, with a diamond pattern on the outside and white opaque glass on the inside. It is about 4" high, with a ruffled rim and hand painted flowers in applied enamel. The pontil is neatly ground. The former owner was a long time collector of American Victorian art glass. He attributed this piece to Phoenix or Mt.Washington Glass.
I see no defects on this beautiful example of American Victorian Art Glass.
