6" pink mother-of-pearl diamond quilted satin glass bud vase, circa 1890. The melon shaped bottom has 8 flutes, which taper into a a long neck. The color is delicately shaded from pale pink at the base to a deep rose at the top. This is cased glass, with a white interior, neatly finished top and ground pontil.
Condition is excellent, with no damages or defects noted. This piece comes from a long time collector of American Victorian art glass. The collector attributed it to Mt. Washington glass works. We are listing many pieces from this collection - most pieces were acquired between 1930 and 1950, and have never before been offered for sale.
