New England Glass Works 10" Peachblow or Wild Rose lily vase with a glossy finish.
NEGW called this color "Wild Rose", though many collectors categorize it with peachblow glass. This vase dates from about 1885 - 1888. The vase is shaded from a soft white to raspberry color, and has a tri-fold rim and 3 1/8" disc foot. There is an older defect on the foot, shown in the last 2 photos. There is a bit of shelf varnish on the underside of the foot. The upper part of the vase is in excellent condition - any white spots are merely reflections from the flash.
This piece is from a long time collector of American Victorian Art Glass. It has been displayed in the collection for well over 50 years and has never before been offered for sale. We will be listing other choice pieces from this collection in the near future.
