Diamond quilted mother-of-pearl satin glass bowl in a rare lavender color. The bowl is about 5 1/4" across and 2 1/2" high. It is cased glass with a white interior and delicately shaded lavender purple on the outside.
This bowl comes from a long time collector and was purchased in the midwest in the early 1940's. The collector believed it is probably Mt. Washington, or possibly Phoenix glass, circa 1890. I have never seen another like it, but Mt. Washington glass made this shape and color (although rarely).
There are no damages, no bubbles or breaks in color. It has been in a display case for about 70 years. I am currently listing several items from this wonderful collection of American Victorian glassware.
