Egg shaped porcelain box, 6" long and 4" high. It has colorful roses on the top and a pink - purple trim on the fluted edge.
The box is unmarked, but this mold was used frequently by Lefton in the 1950's - 60's.. Japanese ceramics at that time were usually identified only by a foil sticker. There are no chips, no cracks, but there is a slight glaze skip on the rim, as shown.
