Pair of old hand carved wooden butter paddles, about 9" long and 2 1/2" across. They are in excellent condition, with signs of use. The shapes do not match perfectly, but this would not have mattered to the user.
Butter paddles were used in the 1800's and early 1900's when butter was made at home. They were used to work the liquid out of the butter and to shape balls or to press the butter into molds.
