Hand blown Mexican glass from the mid-1900's. This glass was made in jewel-like colors, here we have a rich amber and a deep amethyst purple. Each piece has dozens of tiny infused bubbles - thus the name "bubble glass".
The amber glass is 5" high and 3 1/4"across. The amethyst glass is 6" high and 3 1/2" across. Both have a swirl pattern and a rough pontil on the base. No damages were noted.
This bubble glass was part of an arts and crafts revival, which started in Mexico in the 1940's. These pieces probably date from the 1960's or 1970's.
