Cast iron standing bear bank, made by A.C. Williams, 1910 - 1920. The bank is 5 3/8" high with a bronze colored finish.
The casting of this bank is imperfect, as there is flash or spicules at the chin and ear. There is a bit of lighter paint or mild residue on the top of the head. Banks such as this were sand cast. Flash is caused by excess molten iron being forced into the mold seam.
