10" dinner plate in Johnson Brother's "Mt. Vernon" pattern, made from about 1954 - 1965. The scene shown is "View Over the Potomac, East Front". Mt. Vernon is, of course, the Virginia home of George Washington, and still a wonderful place to visit.
This is not a souvenir plate - Johnson Bros, made an entire set in this pattern, with different scenes of Washington's colonial home. The plate is in excellent condition.
