COMITIA AMERICANA medal - Commemorates Horatio Gates and the Battle of Saratoga. Gates defeated British plans to isolate New England by occupying the Hudson Valley in 1777.

The medal was produced for the US Bicentennial in 1976, based on the 1777 bronze original. This medal is still in the original sealed sealed collectors package.
