Portfolio of Pennsylvania Dutch designs, published by Richard Krick in the early 1940's. The tan folder is about 11" x 14" and contains 12 loose pages, plus a stencil pattern that is probably not part of the collection, but happened to be in the folder. The designs include flowers, angels, hearts, animals, birds or distelfinks, and geometric designs. The author collected these designs from traditional furniture, fracturs and household items. Krick collected these designs throughout the 1930's, and they reflect the traditional folk art designs rather than those manufactured for the tourist trade.
The patterns are mildly soiled, and some have old tape marks. The cover is worn and torn a bit at the fold. It has been used, but all the designs are intact.
This comes from a Pennsylvania farm near Valley Forge. Shipping via media mail in a manila envelope is the least expensive option, but regular mail and priority mail are available at cost.
