Lovely porcelain bone dish, 7" long and about 3 1/2" wide. While bone dishes are no longer part of our customary table service, I find them useful for the the side of my round sinks to hold guest soaps or small toiletries. They also make a sweet catch-all for the vanity.
This dish probably dates from about 1930. The scene is a young lady and angel - probably Psyche and Cupid, surrounded by garlands of flowers. Condition is excellent, with the tiniest bit of wear to the gilt trim.
Sharp eyed readers may see what appears to be a little nick on the underside. The close-up photo shows that this is just a bit of gold paint on the edge, not a chip or damage.
