These gimlets and awls - carpenter's tools for boring holes were found in an old barn near Valley Forge, PA. The farm dates from the mid 1700's, and these tools were probably in use from Colonial times until the mid 1800's. They would make a nice display for your favorite wood worker or carpenter.
Included are six tools. All show signs of use. From left to right, as shown:
2 3/4" corkscrew,
4" all metal,
4 1/2" all metal
4 3/4" wood handle
3 3/8" all metal
2 3/4", wood handle, threaded end
