Staffordshire pottery figure of a mother poodle with two puppies. The figurine is 5 1/2" high, 4 3/4" wide and 2 1/2" deep. The poodles have added shredded pottery texture and hand painted faces. The base is cobalt blue. The press mold lines can be seen along the mother poodle's back.
There is a fracture line between the paws of one of the pups, fracture lines on the reverse and a small repair on the right corner underside. All are shown in the photos. There is a small vent hole on the bottom.
We are pleased to offer number of Staffordshire pieces from a private collection. The original collector gathered these figures in the 1920's. These figurines date from the mid to late 1800's.
