6" celluloid "Gode Ideer" doll, purchased in Sweden in the early 1950's. The doll wears the typical ethnic costume of Rattvik, in Dalarna, Sweden. Her colorful costume and hat are faded and a bit rumpled, as she has been in storage for many years. She has blonde hair and the sweet face common to all "Gode Ideer" dolls.
These dolls are part of a large collection of dolls from around the world. The former owner collected these over the course of many decades, from her travels or the travels of friends and family. They date from the 1930's to about 1979. She kept a record of the year and place of acquisition, so we are able to identify most of these dolls. We would like to find new homes for all these dolls, and are happy to combine shipping and to consider offers for multiple purchases.
