c. 1810 leaf-shaped "Canton" Chinese export porcelain dish with flat bottoms and angled walls; dish has blue underglaze decoration depicting a Chinese river scene with a bridge in the foreground and buildings on either side.
The dish, likely a pickle dish, has an underglazed blue border pattern consistent with "Canton" ware. There are various qualities of Canton and this is above average and has a fair bit of detail. Measures approximately 3/4" x 7 3/4" x 5 1/2" There is a small frit in the glaze on the rim (see photos). I believe it may have been done in the manufacturing as there are three slash marks in the glaze right below it.
