Real shell dish with three Chinese export silver feet and characters for good luck (possibly luck, prosperity and good health). The silver appears to be unmarked, but this is from the later China trade period, c. 1900. Nice, thick, lustrous shell with no breaks. The silver feet are in great condition and can be screwed off for cleaning. I did a light polish but the silver could be shined up easily. While unmarked they are at least 900/1000 parts silver, standard for Chinese silver of this period.
This would make a lovely jewelry dish or caviar dish. It measures 1" tall by 8 1/4" long and 6 3/4" deep. Each silver Chinese character measures approximately 1/2" by 1/2". The shell rests on silver ball feet.
