Lovely figural sterling silver napkin ring with applied floral branch with blossoms. Thanks to a kind patron, this flower has been identified as a Wattle. "Wattles grow abundantly on the east coast of Australia in spring and summer. The plant itself is a large bush and the flower consists of yellow, fuzzy, little round balls."
This Australian napkin ring is well-done, but by an unidentified maker, likely 20th century. The napkin ring is marked with a maker's mark "MEM", a platypus mark and "STG", which indicates the sterling standard. The napkin ring measures 2 1/8" long x a little over 1/2" wide and it is approximately 1" thick. No monograms or removals.
I also have a complimentary napkin ring listed separately. It is identical, but has a different applied flower. Would make a lovely wedding gift or a special addition to your collection of unique silver pieces. Buy both and save on shipping!
