Chinese export porcelain helmet form pitcher or creamer with Japanese designs, including a crane and bamboo. This pitcher has been through a lot! But, it is a wonderful study piece and good example of how someone cared enough to restore the piece and "Make do" with it. It is also unique in that it appears to be a Chinese piece with Japanese decoration.
The pitcher/creamer measures 5 1/2" T x 3 1/2" wide by 6 1/2" long. It has a chip near the spout and two repaired areas near the back of the pitcher rim that are painted gold. The handle has also been repaired in several places. There are a few associated hairlines. The enamels are in relatively good condition. A nice study piece.
