Dooney & Bourke has made iconic handbags since 1975. In that time, Dooney used many varieties of leathers, fabrics, and even pony hair to make handbags, belts, and accessories. The All Weather Leather Collection has been one of Dooney & Bourke's most successful and to this day, the All Weather Leather handbags are loved. This is an original, very rare, All Black Zip Top Satchel in the pillow-soft, Pebbled version of the All Weather Leather Zip Top Satchel. From a private collection, it is absolutely pristine inside and out. Time stood still for this stunning, luxurious Dooney.
From that first touch, the softness of the leather soothes the hand. It is All Black Pebbled Leather and there is not one mark or scuff. Open the solid brass Riri zipper to see a spacious suede interior. It is clean and smells of rich leather. The Red, White, and Blue tag is inside with the numbers A7 223151, a Norwalk, Connecticut made original.
On the outside, the straps are supple and smooth. There is a single, full-length slip pocket and it is spotless clean as well. All of the solid brass metalwork gleams with brilliance and each of the rivets have the Dooney signature.
The original brass Dooney Duck fob is present in the leather dongle. This is a Dooney that has the style that will surely please you. Not many of these were made in all Black and the gleaming brass sets it off beautifully.
The dimensions are 9”L x 7”H x 3”D and straps afford a 9” drop.
