In the days long before the Internet, passionate writers would carry pen and pencil clutch bags in their totes. Their main purpose was to neatly keep their fountain pens and writing instruments in one place, not all over the bottom of their handbag where they could cause big trouble.
These rare gems also could carry lipstick, gloss, and other items inside for the Lady with exquisite attention to detail. Not often do you see one of these without ink stains or holes inside. This stunning, early 1960's Walborg Writer's Clutch is in excellent condition throughout and is so useful today.
Made in Japan of Soft White seed beads on Beige silk in a circular and square patterned arrangement, the elegant quality of this genuine hand-beaded Walborg is evident from the moment you hold it and feel the solid weight. Open the hidden Kane-M snap to see a clean silk lining. With only a couple of very faint marks as can be seen in the pictures, they are insignificant and of no issue.
Also inside, there are two pockets and they are spotless clean as well. On the outside, it is clean and has about seven to eight beads missing but they are from the edge which is much, much easier to have replaced rather than from the body of the clutch. The clutch beads are clean and shine brilliantly and it sets smoothly on its own.
This charming Walborg is so versatile and its uses are limited only by your imagination. But one thing for sure is it will surely bring many compliments and show your good taste in detail. You just don't see these fine Walborg bags like this anywhere. It will no doubt make a statement.
The dimensions are 8"L x 2.25" in diameter or 8" in circumference and the flap opens a full 4inches.
As always, this fine Walborg will come to you shipped with the utmost care via USPS Priority Mail or your choice of shippers indicated with insurance. Never a handling charge, just the exact shipping to your zip code. I ship all over the world and will gladly combine shipping on multiple purchases.
