Koret has been a maker of many outstanding handbags through the years since 1929 and this model is no exception. Made of gleaming Black “Korettalak” Patent, this Koret Convertible truly looks like Black glass. It can fool you. Not many of these particular models were made. From a private collection, this Koret is in excellent condition inside and out.
This fine Koret features the chain-ball zipper and unique strap stays that are made from mirror-polished, solid brass. The strap attaches to the chain balls and through elegant stays that are signed and screwed into the handbag ends as opposed to inferior handbags where the stays are simply stamped in.
The strap is fully adjustable with hidden snaps and it can be repositioned to shoulder or to hand carry as one of the finest Evening bags you will see. There is absolutely no loss of color anywhere.
Inside, the signature Tan canvas lining is mint. There is a single slip pocket and directly across is zippered security pocket. Both are lined in Tan faille fabric. The famous Gazelle and Koret name is there inside.
Outside, the Patent is smooth and shines with brilliance. Nowhere does this gem look like it approaching sixty-five years old. This is a very good looking Koret. It is larger than it appears and it is very well made.
