Porcelain Limoges from France have been collected and loved the world over for centuries. Handmade and fired from some of the purest, White clay, the originals Limoges are true collectibles. Through the years, many companies put their hand into making Limoges but, it is the premier maker’s Limoges that are coveted today.
This set of three Limoges are absolutely mint dating from 1921 to 1943. No chips, no loss of the 18k gold, no fading, and no marks anywhere. These stunning treasures are from a private collection. Seldom do you ever see genuine Limoges in such spectacular condition.
Starting with the large model, it is a vintage Sevres Figural by Fontaine with signed artwork by Froganard depicting a couple in courtship. Surrounded by gleaming 18k gold floral arrangements, it is a sight to behold in Cobalt. The dimensions are 5” in diameter by 2 ½ “H. Perfect and extremely rare.
Next, we have another Sevres Round Trinket Box by Fontaine in Cobalt and 18k gold depicting a very well dressed man down on one knee proposing to his Lady. It is perfect and measures 2” in diameter and 1” high. The pictures simply cannot show the sheer beauty of this trio. However, they are flawless.
Thirdly, we have yet another Sevres, a La Seynie Square and it is the oldest of the three. But again, it is mint. It is depicting the gentleman kissing the hand of his Lady. It is 1 1/8 x 1 1/8 x 1 1/8. The porcelain with this gem is remarkable.
