Elegance extraordinaire is this ultra-rare Silver Lame Framed Evening Bag made by HL (Harry Levine) of USA. Made of Silver Tissue (fabric trade name) with Silver metallic thread, it is absolutely stunning. From the mid 1950’s, it is pristine with no issues whatsoever.
Harry Levine from the Harry Levine Corp. in New York City, was a handbag maker from the 1940’s on into the 1960’s. He designed many styles of handbags that has influenced many still today. In fact, this beautiful HL can carry with elegance and protection the extra-large smartphones “phablets” such as the Samsung Galaxy Notes or others with your wallet. What a great impression it would make. Many from Harry Levine’s design studios such as this sterling gem are highly sought and seldom seen in such spectacular condition as this one. This HL is from a private collection and it is absolutely pristine.
The pillow soft body of this handbag glistens with brilliance and not one silver thread is frayed. It is so spotless clean the camera simply cannot capture the sheer beauty of this handbag. This is a very high quality handbag. Open the Bow-tie adorned, etched weave style snap to see the Amber silk lining and it is clean and has no marks or stains. The HL USA is still clearly visible in gold filigree just above the single slip pocket.
Also inside is the original Amber coin purse attached to its tether.
The covered Admiral frame is perfectly straight and spotless clean. The two position chain allows you to carry this HL as a handbag for the evening and also, when needed, as a fine clutch. The rope-chain shines and has not faded or kinked. The gussets are clean with no greening. This HL will bring many compliments and is perfect for any event.
This regal beauty comes from the 1954 Seasonal Fabric Collection and was made in New York City. This HL is pure elegance and it is perfect for weddings, photo-shoots, or evenings out.
