This stately ewer is a recent Southern estate acquisition. It stands 14" tall to the top of the arched handle, it is 6" across the body and 4" at the base. The ewer is rimmed in gold tone at the bottom, top, handle and the round finger knob at the front, used for pouring. There is some gold tone wear on the handle and the finger knob at the front indicating some usage. The top pouring lip is scalloped and the bottom around the foot has raised scalloped designs. The rose bouquet on the front has white, red and yellow roses along with greenery and filler flowers and grapes. The back has a single pink rose with greenery. Gold tone beading is on the front and back. This beautiful ewer is in excellent condition ~ no chips, cracks or breakage of any kind. What a beautiful piece to add to your collection!
