This stunning dinner ring is from my personal collection. It was purchased from a jeweler that handled estate jewelry. The jeweler said it was from the Piccadilly Estate and at the time I did not inquire as to which Piccadilly because I just wanted to purchase the lovely ring and the background was insignificant to me. The jeweler described the ring as a Ladies Ballerina Platinum Dinner Ring, containing one (1) pear-shaped Rhodolite Garnet, 9mm x 6mm, and baguette cut diamonds totalling approximately 1.30 Ctw. Actually, the diamonds are keystone shaped and so striking in the wavy design of the ring. The Rhodolite Garnet is a lovely pear shape held by three prongs. The inside of the ring is hallmarked Pt 950 and 2.44 on one side and 1.84 on the other. Pt 950 is considered nearly pure platinum, of greater value than gold or silver. A lot of jewelry has the carat weight stamped inside the band and I believe that is what the other numbers represent.
If further information is needed, I will need to contact my jeweler, but please do not hesitate to ask. The ring is Size 5 3/4 and in excellent vintage condition!
