This stunning brooch is a recent estate acquisition and hard to find with the Crown over the trademark which denotes around 1940s. Ciro of Bond Street, Inc., New York, New York opened in 1938 and the script Ciro trademark found on this piece was first used in 1938.
This gold plated brooch features an open rose with a quite large side branch featuring four leaves with two pink Cubic Zirconia. The open rose is centered with a pink Cubic Zirconia as well. Ciro used clear CZs in most of their pieces, but also used a few colored stones as well. The brooch is highly detailed with a brushed finish and the rose petal edges are in polished gold plate.
The brooch is 2 1/4" x 2" and has the Ciro trademark with the crown on a rectangular cartouche. The brooch is in excellent condition.
