I recently acquired this gorgeous double strand necklace signed Vogue. The necklace features very rare foiled lampwork glass beads. The flat round shaped beads have a tan base color with reddish gold pieces of foil.
The beads are in excellent condition. They are knotted between the beads and that helps prevent them from chipping by rubbing together. The double strand necklace has a push-in clasp with a larger bead encircled by nugget style gold tone. The back of the clasp is signed Vogue. The strands are 14" and 16" long. The back of the clasp shows light wear.
The Vogue design house was in operation from 1936-1973. Vogue was the trademark for beaded costume jewelry for the Park Importing Company of New York City. Today, Vogue costume jewelry is very scarce. This is a stunning necklace that you will treasure.
