This is a beautiful large tray recently acquired from a Southern estate. It is 13" in diameter and has a 1/2" depth. The tray has a lovely deep teal color with a large cameo of purple violets and greenery. The center is highlighted with a raised border of dots and scrolls in white. The border is a bit scalloped to add to the beauty of this tray. Notice in the dark teal area the darker background florals and leaves that carry to the edge of the tray on one side ~ just lovely. This lovely tray has the T & V Limoges France hallmark that dates from 1892 - 1907. The front is signed by the decorator Nelle Wolfe. The tray is in excellent vintage condition. There is an impression noted at the top of the tray, approximately 1/8", but it is clearly a makers mark in the whiteware and has been painted over ~ it is not a flaw. Also please note: The AIP process cut the ends of the tray off and it appears that it could be broken. It is not. Please see the other pictures.
