You can call it 'a bracelet' but since it was made by Matisse - Renoir, it's a lot more than that.
Abstract enamel art catches the eye, set into a space-age form of glowing copper. Matisse - Renoir was/were famous for both copper and enamel, combining them into an art form that no other maker could copy.
The bracelet measures 6 1/2 inches around the inside...perfect on a 6 to 6 1/2 inch wrist. It's 1 inch wide.
The hinge is strong and secure. It's hallmarked with the MATISSE - RENOIR hallmark. This was made in the 1950s. The company ended its production in 1964...a loss to the quality costume jewelry market. But the good news is that once you've seen this maker's jewelry, you never forget it and you can spot it instantly for its distinctive glowing designs.
Condition - There's some surface wear to the copper which looks worse in photos because of the harsh lighting. The wear is age appropriate and not a great distraction to the overall piece. We also priced it accordingly.
