This vintage Royal Doulton porcelain figurine is titled TOOTLES. She was produced from 1935 to 1975. The figure was designed by Leslie Harradine as part of a child studies collection.
Tootles is a little girl in a bonnet and apron over a pretty pink dress. Her head tilts and her hands are clasped in front of her. Her face is sweet and she's the 'good little girl' in every way.
Tootles measures 4 3/4 inches high. The base is 2 1/2 inches across. The bottom is stamped in green with ROYAL DOULTON - MADE IN ENGLAND - BONE CHINA - TOOTLES - HN 1680 - MB (hand script). Also numbered Rd. No. 800373.
Arthur L. Harradine (known to Doulton collectors as Leslie) joined Doulton's Lambeth Studios in 1902 as an apprentice modeler. Working as a freelance artist, Harradine developed a great gift for sculpting wind-blown ladies and flouncing damsels. Harradine’s figures are among the most collectible Doulton porcelain creations.
Tootles is in excellent vintage condition with NO cracks, chips or repairs.
