Some of the nicest Southwest jewelry came from Relios Jewelry in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Starting in 1975, Bill Pollack and his designer wife Carolyn made some beautiful, high-quality sterling silver jewelry with colorful semi-precious gemstones.
This Relios necklace features a beaded stone nugget necklace with silver melon bead spacers. The stone chips are rhodonite. It measures 18 inches long but can be clasped from 15 to 18 inches. Marked 925 on clasp.
The center pendant is a geometric inlay of spiny oyster, rhodonite, mother-of-pearl, and red coral. The stones are set in a decorative sterling silver frame. Measures 1 1/8 inches across by 2 1/8 inches long at center. The necklace weighs 37 grams. Back is marked with the Crescent moon - R .925 hallmark. Excellent vintage condition. Circa 1970s. (The pendant is removable if you want to wear it on a different chain.)
