Most anything made by Napier (1875 - 1999) is going to be above and beyond the 'norm'. And this Napier sterling silver bracelet from the 1950s is a real mid-century standout.
This bracelet was part of a Napier sterling silver line made circa 1954. The link bracelet is die-stamped with orbs of polished satiny silver, each floating in a cosmic ring. The double connectors and rings are all finished with the satin-like texture.
The bracelet measures 7 1/4 inches long. It's 1 1/4 inches wide. It weighs 48 grams.
The unique secure barrier spring ring clasp is shown on a similar bracelet in THE NAPIER BOOK (page 755) - Defining 20th Century American Costume Jewelry by Melinda Lewis. (It's an incredible book for jewelry - Napier fans.)
Bracelet is in excellent vintage condition. A rare Napier piece!
