This seldom-seen mid-century abstract pin by Coro leaves you with a decision to make...horizontal, vertical, or diagonal? You can wear it in any direction as anticipated by the placement of the pin on the back.
This pin is NOT your usual Coro pin but it was the creation of a Modernist / Brutalist / Abstract / anything goes artistic time in jewelry design.
The front of the pin has a shadowbox effect between two slabs of heavily silver-plated shapes. Behind the maze-like silver top is an oxidized blackened dimpled piece of brass. The silver acid-tested for sterling and it's heavily applied front and back.
Pin measures 2 1/8 by 1 3/4 inches. It weighs 39.7 grams. Back is marked CORO.
Excellent vintage condition. Secure rollover clasp.
Once you figure out which way you want to wear it, you can work on figuring out what it's trying to say. (We see Times Square at the height of lunch hour.)
