If you like unique jewelry, keep reading. This one-of-a-kind (OOAK) designer necklace is quite fabulous in both design and components.
The center pendant is an abstract, rough-hewn Brutalist style sculpture made of solid sterling silver. It has a 14k gold wash over it. An oval green stone sits nestled at the side. We're not gemologists but the stone looks like green quartz or jade.
More green beads, round in shape and semi-translucent, make a chain along with four long malachite beads. The beads are hand-knotted in between. They measure from 6 to 10cm wide.
The necklace measures 21 inches around by 2 inches long at center.
The secure slide-in clasp is solid 14K yellow gold and it's marked with a maker's mark that looks familiar but we can't identify it. The back of the pendant is hand-etched JAFFE. The necklace weighs 105 grams.
A couple of age related nicks to the malachite bead edges and some minor loss to the gold plating over the pendant are the only flaws we see and that's mostly looking through a magnifier. Overall, the necklace is in excellent vintage condition. It's circa 1970s. Very unique. 'JAFFE' made it just for someone like you.
