All old and original...these 1940s WWII souvenirs were part of America's patriotic homefront spirit. People wore pins, flags were flown proudly, Blue Star banners hung in windows where a family member was serving his/her country.
This lot of authentic 1940s pins (NOT repros!) include celluloid on tin pins that say...KEEP 'EM FLYING with V for Victory morse code and airplane,
GOLD BLESS AMERICA - THE FLAG I LOVE, a blue star banner, General Jonathan M. Wainwright photo portrait, and V for Victory. There's also a miniature woven American flag (2 by 1 3/8 inches). Stickpin is 3 inches.
Most of the pins are marked on the back or edge with the union bug maker's mark. Two of the pins show some age tarnish on the tin backs but most of this will clean up with an eraser. We leave the patina as found. All the fronts are excellent. These are all old unused warehouse stock that we bought circa 1970 when we first went into business.
A great lot for those who never tire of the good old red, white and blue.
