We didn't think anything could top the bold streamlined look of those fantastic Lucite pendant necklaces by Lanvin in the 1970s. But looks like Trifari said 'don't count us out' and created this knockout necklace.
It's creamy ivorytone Lucite in half a goldtone frame with nothing but two goldtone squares at a rakish angle. Could those be eyes? A long raised Lucite nose (?) runs diagonally across. Looks like a very abstract face.
The pendant measures 2 1/4 inches across by 3 1/8 inches high. With the bail arches, it's 3 1/2 inches high. It weighs 88 grams (with chain). The original Trifari snake chain that comes with the necklace measures 15 inches around. It lands the pendant right at the base of the throat...definitely the place of honor where no one can miss it. But...if you prefer your chain longer and more mid-cleavage, we're going to include another goldtone snake chain that's 28 inches around. You can vary the length of the pendant with an easy switch of the chain.
The original shorter chain has the ~T~ symbol hangtag. The back of the pendant has the TRIFARI hallmark. One tiny black spot on the back seems to be under the white lacquered Lucite.
Overall in excellent vintage condition. A perfect example of why Trifari prevails.
