NOT A REPRINT....this original 1897 paperback book is titled...How to Become Beautiful. - A Book for Everyone. Showing How to Acquire and Retain Bodily Symmetry, Health, Vigor and Beauty.
Of course, you don't need any of this Victorian self-improvement information since you're already beautiful. But you might just want to enjoy a good chuckle as you read through chapters like...Hereditary Transmission (sounds like a 'disease'), Dress and Ornament, The Hair and its Management, How to Drive Away Wrinkles, Toilette Recipes, How to Decrease or Enlarge the Bust, etc.,...all valuable tips, no doubt.
The 128 page book measures 4 3/4 inches across by 7 1/8 inches high. It was written by Nellie Greenway, Copyright J.S. Ogilvie, published by Standard Publishing Company Topeka, Kansas (Topeka must be filled with beautiful people).
This book is old warehouse stock we bought decades ago. It's never been fully opened. The paper is yellowed and fragile. A couple of the first pages are still uncut at the top. There's a small scrape to the spine edge and some dings along the page edges that you see when you look around the sides of the book.
Overall, this book is in excellent antique condition. At 121 years old, this book is still beautiful...we should all be so lucky.
