We finally took this vintage estate cocktail ring to a good local jeweler for a written appraisal so we could offer it here. The replacement value is realistically placed at $2,910. But we're here to find things a new home...a new finger in this case. So our price is considerably less...$1,200.
This ring is 10K white gold. It's a hand-assembled freeform ribbon cluster design cocktail ring.
The ring has ten (10) prong set rectangular natural emeralds. They're facet cut at sides and measure 4.30 x 3.80 x 2.47mm. Approximate total weight is 3.80ct. The clarity is heavily included but the color is a bright emerald green.
There are forty-five (45) pave set angle cut diamonds measuring 1.60 - 1.50 x 0.93 (depth est.) for an approximate total weight of 45 stones...0.61ct.
Total weight of the ring is 6.3 dwt. or 9.6 grams. The ring size is 7.5. It looks like the ring may have had some band repairs... maybe in sizing it up or down. The inside of the band is marked ROYAL and what looks like 10K (was also acid-tested for 10K gold to confirm).
The appraisal states that condition is 'normal wear'. The top of the ring measures about 1 inch each way. It rises up 1/2 inch from the band. The appraisal offers the expert's facts. To our non-expert's eye, we just see the overall result which is... wow...what a spectacular ring. Every woman loves diamonds but paired with genuine natural emeralds in a big bold design...we're putty.
(Appraisal by J.R. Dunn Jewelers will be included with purchase of ring.)
