'Irving' is the perfect name for a pickle fork. This Wallace sterling silver serving piece is from the IRVING pattern. Of course it has the Victorian frills and scrolls at the top and down the stem. But then, those two forked tines get serious. It's pickle spearing time.
Doesn't matter if you like 'em dill, garlic, spiced, sour, half-sour, almost sour, or just straight up cucumber, this pickle fork will spear it with precision.
The fork measures 7 inches long. It's 1 3/8 inches wide at the tines. It weighs 44 grams. The back stem is marked with the ~W~ Wallace hallmark...circa 1900.
There's normal age-related wear...noting notable. There's NO monogram. And, of course, you can use this to spear more than pickles. Good for asparagus spears, two olives at a time, a slab of meat, and a slippery tomato.
