If you like old Mexican silver jewelry, you've come to the right bracelet. It's an early one, made between 1920 and the mid-1940s when this hallmark was used...MADE IN MEXICO - SILVER. The silver content used was commonly above the 925 sterling purity.
The design is bold, featuring 6 large green stones set in simple rope bezels. These are natural stones and we've seen them described as jade, green onyx and aventurine. Whatever they are, the decades have left a beautiful patina on them with no sign of dings.
The stones are flanked by trios of raised silver beads...big ones...so the bracelet is wide at just under 2 inches. It's 7 1/4 inches long. It weighs 72 grams.
Through a magnifier, we can see a few little bumps to the beads but it's not notable to the eye. The clasp is a wide, secure slide-in that snaps closed and there's even a guard chain.
Overall, this striking old Mexican bracelet is in excellent vintage condition.
