This pair of plastic lapel pins were a souvenir of the 1939 New York World's Fair. They're in the shape of the Trylon and Perisphere...the symbols of the Fair. Each is marked N.Y. WORLD'S FAIR.
Each measures 5/8 inch across by 3/4 inch high. Small, but just right to wear as a stud and let the world know you were there.
The 1939 - 1940 New York World's Fair was an Art Deco lover's dream with a Futuristic theme...'Dawn of a New Day'. It showed over 44 million people who attended what 'the world of tomorrow' would look like. Making their debuts were...color photography, nylon, air conditioning, fluorescent lamps, the View-Master, Television, and Smell-O-Vision.
The studs are in excellent vintage condition. A rare souvenir of a great World's Fair.
