It's big and oddly-shaped...almost like a slanting arrowhead. This vintage Native American ring is handmade of solid sterling silver but the star of the ring is the high grade natural Bisbee turquoise cabochon in the center.
The old-mine turquoise has natural golden brown matrix flowing through the bright blue. The smooth silver bezel has a twisting rope design around it.
The striking stone measures approximately 3/4 inch at the widest and just under 1 inch high. The sterling setting is 1 1/8 inches wide by 1 1/2 inches high. The ring weighs 22 grams.
The ring is size 11 (can be sized up or down by a jeweler). It's unmarked as most pre-1970 pieces weren't. We've acid-tested it for sterling. The inside of the ring shows a clear epoxy or coating around the band attachments. We believe this was added for extra strength around the band joint. No signs of a repair. The ring is polished and in excellent vintage condition.
