Six heads are better than one...especially if five of them are by couture designer Larry Vrba. The sixth head is yours...the smart one wearing this outstanding necklace.
It was designed by Vrba who worked for Castlecliff circa 1970. It's a bold five-point pendant in Russian gold plate. Five Aztec or Mayan faces make the circle with their headdresses creating the points. A large faux red coral stone is in the center.
The pendant measures 3 by 3 inches. The large bail adds another 5/8 inch to the length. Pendant hangs from a complimentary 18-inch gold-tone chain which may not be original.
The back of the necklace is hallmarked CASTLECLIFF. After being with them for two years, Vrba went to work for Miriam Haskell. Now he produces his own line of high-end jewelry...making his Vrba pieces of the past highly collectible. Excellent vintage condition.
