This is one fabulous fileted fish necklace. This articulated fish bone pendant is made of solid sterling silver with blue guilloche enamel links...including the head.
It has a very Modernist Scandinavian look but was made in Taxco Mexico circa 1960s. The silversmith's initials are EAC who had the Eagle 1 mark and is noted in 'The Little Book of Mexican Silver Trade and Hallmarks' by Bille Hougart. Back is also marked STERLING 925.
The fish pendant measures 1 1/2 inches across by a very impressive 4 1/4 inches long. We added a nice thick vintage Italian snake chain and the two go swimmingly well together. They weigh 28.5. Unpolished silver patina. The enamel is perfect. This is a very unique piece with plenty of motion from the Taxco 'ocean'.
