It's time you owned a lollapalooza of a necklace. And this one couldn't be more qualified to amaze, astound and delight your jewelry senses (and those of anyone who lays eyes on it).
It's pearls gone wild! Four heaping strands of real pearls (the uneven cultured kind) are decked out with cut-out drops of genuine mother-of-pearl, carnelian, agate, and black onyx beads, and orange glass flowers. They all tumble into a stunning bib necklace that's bold and fashionable...and made of natural things. Even the slide-in silver-tone clasp is covered with a mother-of-pearl shell flower.
The necklace measures 20 inches around. It hangs about 2 1/2 inches long at center. Since it's real pearl, shell and stone, it's a hefty piece weighing 220 grams. Piece of cake for a woman like you who stopped to check this out. It's in excellent vintage condition with no notable wear. Circa 1980s.
